Project Love Coalition Veterans Invite You To Help Build A Garden
In The Hill District at 678 Somers St. Pittsburgh, PA 15219

Saturday November 2, 2019 at 9a.m. to 11a.m.

The Peace and Friendship Garden Build will help neighbors grow food and eat healthy. There is no-cost to participate in this garden activity which will increase access to healthy food, increase physical activity, and encourage healthy eating. Site will accommodate wheelchairs and pollinator flower beds. Donations are welcome.

–> August 3&4 Mark Beds, Apply Barrier, Etc. 9am to 5pm
–> September 7 Public Meeting Library Hill District 11am
–> September 14 Garden Tour / BBQ 12pm
–> October 1 Build Garden Beds, Shed, etc. 9am to 2pm
–> October 5 Public Meeting Library Hill District 11am
–> October 10 Recognition Dinner 5pm
–> October 18 Build Wheelchair Path/Walkway, Shed, etc. 10am to 2pm
–> November 2 Garden Maintenance 9am to 11am
–> November 2 Public Meeting Library Hill District 11am

Please bring: Water bottle and dress for outdoor work (sturdy shoes and long pants recommended) and gloves if you have them. We will partially provide some tools, snacks, water, and instruction.
