Having an event? Do you need a cool place? The Green Space at the Peace and Friendship Farm can be reserved for events!
The Green Space is an outdoor ground-level grass area measuring 20 ft. x 60 ft., located on the corner of Webster Avenue and Somers Street. The walkway is separate and can be used an additional space with the Green Space. Times of use are flexible depending on the activity planned.
The Project Love Coalition and it’s Green S.E.N.S.E. initiative is actively exploring agri-business and agriculture industry program activities which can provide healing therapy and economic opportunities for veterans.
There is food desert insecurity and disinvestment in the community where PLC seeks to improve the quality of life for residents. PLC is currently seeking people to help develop an enhanced model training program to encourage veteran engagement in agricultural pursuits, particularly concerning small and medium-size farms and agri-business, such as the provision of education and training to veterans and the development of skills leading to job placement and career opportunities in farming, including access to land (5 to 100 acres), equipment, and capital.
Your generous consideration of any gifts that we receive from the website will go towards support to cover costs of our community outreach to those who are homeless or struggling with hunger. If you’d like to get involved in other ways, we’d love to have you on board.
